What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Manager - New York City position at Paragon Legal?
The Position
Our client is a biotech company headquartered in NYC. They are looking for an experienced contracts manager with prior life sciences industry experience to draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, and other basic commercial agreements. This CM should have prior experience working independently while also keeping their supervisor in the loop and escalating appropriate issues to the attorneys. The ideal candidate will also have had experience building and improving internal processes.
The client would like this person to go onsite to the NYC headquarters (near Madison Square Park) at least 2x a week. This project will start ASAP and be ongoing (we estimate at least 6-12 months). This project may start at 20-40 hours/week for the rest of the year but is expected to be close to 40 hours/week in 2025.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $60 and $75. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
