Position Overview:
As the Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing all accounting and financial operations of the company. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust internal controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and maintain accounting records and systems.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and assist with compliance-related matters.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies for growth.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
