POSITION SUMMARY
This armed position is under the direct supervision of a manager for assigned high-profile sites. The officer performs various security-related duties, including observing and reporting activities and incidents at assigned locations to ensure the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel.
The officer may respond to unusual or emergency situations using an appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. Additionally, they assist in preserving order, enforcing regulations and directives for the site, controlling access, monitoring entrances and exits, and preventing unauthorized entry.
Some assignments require patrolling assigned sites on foot or in a vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations; protecting evidence or scenes of incidents; and preparing logs or reports as requested.

Duties Include:
The officer controls access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process, prevents unauthorized access, and assists visitors with legitimate needs to gain entry to the facility. They screen visitors and client employees efficiently to expedite their admittance to the site or facility.
The officer responds to unusual or emergency situations using an appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response following established protocols for the site and as dictated by the situation, the company, and through required training and licensing. They maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons as required.
The officer provides a courteous, respectful, and pleasant interaction with each client employee and visitor, presents a good image of the client and its security department, and communicates in an open, honest, and responsive manner. They provide information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors and monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry.
The officer patrols assigned sites on foot or in a vehicle, checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and prepares logs or reports as required. They protect evidence or scenes of incidents, set up barriers and signage, and provide direction or information to others.
