Fixed Income Strategist/Researcher – Investment Management Firm | Miami
Background
We're partnering with the Head of Research & Strategy at a global investment management firm that is expanding its specialized fixed income team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on mortgage-backed securities (MBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), and mortgage servicing rights (MSR).
- Develop and refine investment strategies to enhance risk-adjusted returns.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to translate research insights into actionable investment decisions.
- Utilize quantitative models to assess market trends and security valuations.
- Perform back-testing and scenario analysis to optimize strategies.
- Communicate complex research findings to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in research, strategy, trading, or analytics within fixed income markets.
- Strong understanding of MBS, ABS, MSR, or structured credit products.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Location: Miami
Compensation: $150-250k TC (Base Bonus)
Salary : $100,000 - $160,000
