What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Parallel Employment?
Responsible for the installation of equipment, machine set-up, troubleshooting activities, process monitoring, and continuous improvement of plant operations, equipment and facilities. A maintenance technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities to allow production to meet customer requirements. Reports and is responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor. The position of Maintenance Technician is an hourly position working on day shift. An average workweek is comprised of 40 hours per week. Overtime is required on a per project basis. The Maintenance Technician must possess a complete knowledge of the injection molding process, hydraulics, electrics, basic equipment maintenance, and demonstrate excellent mechanical abilities.
BACKGROUND SKILLS
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree or Experience in plastic injection molding.
- Technical experience.
- Mechanical experience.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication skills, the ability to organize and present information and ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in the written form.
- Ability to analyze a situation. Identify the root cause, generate options, determine a course of action, make decisions, develop an action plan, and evaluate results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledgeable in mechanical electrical power, machine control electronics, and hydraulics systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize multiple activities, and meet deadlines.
- Has complete knowledge of the Quality Management System.
- Ability to handle fork trucks and overhead cranes.
Schedule is Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Rate of pay- $25 - $35 depending on experience, but experience is NECESSARY
