Responsibilities:
- Audiology assistant checks - routine hearing aid checks, warranty expiration visits, Loss & Damage claims, repairs, etc.)
- Perform in office repairs of hearing aids and assistive devices, when possible and send aids to the manufacturers when needed.
- Order hearing aids, repairs, accessories, chargers, receivers, etc. from manufacturers in a timely manner
- Counsel patient regarding repair warranties, Loss & Damage coverage (manufacturer and ESCO), and service plan options
- Appropriately charge for all parts and services. Document patient fees and payments on hearing aid encounter tickets and invoices, when applicable.
- Ensure patients schedule appropriate follow up visits with audiologists and audiology assistants
- Assist with hearing aid package check-in/programming
- Ensure clinical rooms and repair rooms are well stocked. Order clinical supplies, manufacturer supplies, batteries, and office supplies, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, personable demeanor
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- A minimum experience of one year experience in the medical field is preferred but not required.
