Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Payer Specialization Unit Appeals Team Lead who will be responsible for performing daily appeals follow-up and monitoring denial trends. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you. We want you to apply now!

What you will do in this role:

• Provide introductory and ongoing training and education to all Appeals staff to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist with staff communication, providing updates, resolving issues, setting goals and maintaining standards, including performance QA reviews for staff.
• Assist with payroll activities for team members.
• Assist the Manager with development and implementation of project and department action plans.
• Monitor insurance denials by running appropriate reports and contacting insurance companies to resolve claims denied for clinical reasons.
• Identify problem accounts and/or trended issues and escalate as appropriate.
• Update the patient account record to identify actions taken on the account.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience required
