Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the books of Parameter Generation & Control, Inc., ensuring that all accounts and funds are properly balanced. Key responsibilities include managing Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), payroll, and collections, as well as handling related correspondence with vendors and customers.
Qualifications:
- At least a two-year Associate’s degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping from an accredited technical college, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Junior Accountant.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (Excel); experience with Global Shop is preferred.
- Knowledge of cost accounting for manufacturing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay focused and efficiently structure workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret financial information.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books and records for the company, including managing cash flow in and out of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and regulations regarding accounts receivable and payable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Post journal entries and make adjustments as needed to correct errors.
- Establish and maintain accounts payable files, including vendor records, invoice verification, and check processing.
- Process payroll, including timecard data entry, cost accounting, taxes, and related forms and reports.
- Maintain accounts receivable files, generate invoices, process customer checks, and follow up on past-due invoices.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,200.00 - $52,500.00 per year
