Position Overview :
A leading candle manufacturing plant in Sayville, NY, is seeking a motivated, reliable, and energetic mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for :
- Performing daily machine setup, adjustments, and repairs on production equipment.
- Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to ensure efficient production.
- Reviewing and maintaining machine safety features for compliance and operational efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related mechanical role.
- Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Dependable, well-organized, and a quick learner.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be able to work day shift : 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM (weekends as needed).
