We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Maintenance position to join our team and ensure that our paint line area remains clean and in optimal condition.
Job Summary: The 3rd Shift Maintenance role will be responsible for performing custodial duties within the paint line area during the overnight shift. This role involves cleaning and maintaining the paint line environment to ensure a clean, operational, and efficient paint line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning: Perform routine and deep cleaning of paint line equipment, surfaces, and surrounding areas. This includes removing paint spills, dust, and debris.
- Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of waste materials, including paint residues and other contaminants, following company and environmental guidelines.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish custodial supplies, such as cleaning agents, rags, and protective gear, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning procedures adhere to safety protocols and do not interfere with ongoing operations or pose risks to personnel.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Report Issues: Notify supervisors or maintenance staff of any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or other issues observed during cleaning tasks.
- Documentation: Keep records of cleaning activities and supplies used, and report any discrepancies or issues encountered.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting, is desirable but not required.
- Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects up to 30lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Safety: Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work and the handling of hazardous materials
