Job Title: Team Leader
Department: Production
Reports to: Supervisor
Summary: This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that finished production parts meet standards and specifications prior to shipment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
- Knowledge of paint and body shop techniques is helpful.
- Previous experience within an injection molding, extrusion, or cast product operation is desired.
- Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow general operating instructions and safety procedures.
- Demonstrates keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of automotive industry service and body shop techniques is helpful.
- Ability to use common hand tools and sanders applicable to trade.
- Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat frequently.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Must have good body mechanics and manual dexterity.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Essential Functions:
- Pulls rack containing production parts under the inspection lights.
- Lights must be in good operating condition.
- Ensures that all labels and stickers still remain on production part.
- Inspects for adequate paint coverage and no overspray.
- Inspects the production part surface area to ensure that it is free from burrs, excess flash, paint runs, foreign matter or materials, and that there is no warpage.
- Dependent upon nature of the irregularity, repairs any part within scope of ability and time constraints or returns the production part to the rework department.
- Sands down any identified defects accordingly.
- Identifies any breaks in the primer that must be repainted.
- Marks any defects with marking pencil. Identifies by defect code.
- Relates to master samples for deviations to ensure quality.
- Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
- Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Summary: This position is primarily responsible for leading production employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: assists in work, ensure policies and procedures are followed through. Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

- Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.
- Ability to read, understand and follow general operating instructions and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive industry service and body shop techniques is helpful.
- Ability to use computer information systems.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team-oriented environment.

- Lead department and follow established procedures and approved processes.
- Assist with successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena
- Ensure correct procedures are followed with manufacturing work instructions.
- Assist with evaluating and solving production problems.
- Must excel at working in a team environment.
- This position requires that the person be a highly organized individual, who is self-motivated, and can work independently.
- Must have very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills, including group presentations.
- This position requires that the person be a member of the Emergency Response Team and as such will be responsible to notify their supervisor/manager in the event of or if notified of a safety/environmental issue including but not limited to fire, accidental spill, or other environmental/safety issue.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development.
- Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
