What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Support Associate- 3rd Shift position at Paramont Mfg LLC?
Summary: The Production Support Specialist is responsible for helping run an efficient parts department by supporting Production with tools needed for the day. He/she will accomplish objectives through proper inventory control, stocking, pulling, and counting. They will also ensure if equipment is missing or damaged reporting it to the Supervisor. This position is primarily responsible for moving materials within the manufacturing facility.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED but degree preferred with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Prior work record indicates dependability and conscientiousness.
- Ability to read, understand and follow general operating instructions and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive industry service and body shop techniques is helpful.
- Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools applicable to trade.
- Must be able to safely always operate forklift around pedestrians and in a fast-paced environment.
- Must make all required checks on forklift as per in-house rules and OSHA regulations.
- Must be able to stay until the job is complete.
- Knowledge of basic machine inspection and maintenance including gauges, lines, etc.
- Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Exposure to temperature changes, noise, fumes and mechanical, chemical, or electrical hazards.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat frequently.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Must have good body mechanics and manual dexterity.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Essential Functions
- Ensures that all bins are properly labeled (plastic or hardware).
- Knows how to use the scales for counting hardware if needed.
- Receives and unpacks orders and stocks the parts, ensuring that they are adequately organized as necessary.
- Ensures that the Production department is clean daily, by removing old boxes and
waste, sweeping the floor and cleaning the parts containers.
- Helps receive merchandise, as necessary.
- Hands out Production tools and tool bags as needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Inventorying and stocking of hardware as needed
- Forklift Certification required and to be obtained at Paramont Mfg., LLC upon successful completion of Forklift Training program per OSHA requirements.
- Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
- Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Must have the ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced work environment while following a tight schedule.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
