Position Summary: Primarily responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in the safe execution of the maintenance and repairs in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Safety in Maintenance and ensuring that all procedures and policies are carried out timely and flawlessly are key. The Assistant Maintenance supervisor preforms inspections, identifies any Facility or equipment issues, responsible for work order generation, securing parts, organizing labor, planning and execution of repairs at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Supervising the day to day maintenance functions of assigned personnel
- Assist in Developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks
- Maintain Fire Protection and prevention policies and procedures
- Ensuring safety equipment and supplies are utilized when necessary
- Assist in maintaining Safety Data Sheets for hazardous chemicals
- Reporting all hazardous conditions or equipment
- Implement recommendations from the Infection control, safety and QA committee
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned work areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary conditions are maintained as directed
- Promptly report/repair any facility or equipment damage
- Provide safety in-services to staff as needed
- Help Coordinate routine/thermal isolation with Nursing
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Performs other tasks and Administrative duties as assigned
Skills:
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing facility/Longterm care facility preferred
- Must be able to work throughout Facility
- Computer proficiency required
- Must have strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communications
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must function independently , have flexibility. personal integrity and the ability to work effectively
Job Type: Part-time
