Visiting Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Visiting Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical practices and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes in medical records.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
• Assist with durable medical equipment (DME) setup and patient training.
• Perform catheter care, including maintenance of urinary catheters.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law when applicable.
• Provide support for procedures such as gastric lavage and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care provided.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
• Experience in hospital medicine or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vital signs monitoring and physical examination techniques.
• Familiarity with medical records management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple patient cases effectively.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.

Pay: Up to $82.00 per hour
