Responsibilities of CNC Programmer:
Candidate should have a working knowledge of CNC Machine operation including Programming, Setup, Maintenance, Operation, and the ability to diagnose minor mechanical issues with the equipment/fixturing. Candidate should possess shop math skills including calculating proper feed and speed for materials, metric conversions. Interpreting Blueprints and Geometric tolerances. Candidate must be capable of holding tolerances and meeting surface finish requirements. Basic computer skills with file transfer are beneficial.
Requirements of CNC Programmer:
- 3-5 years of exclusive Programming experience required
- Some set-up experience required
- MasterCAM experience required, Experience with Edgecam, Fusion 360, and Solidworks preferred
- Mill experience required
- 3-5 axis mill and CNC turning center experience preferred
- Ability to use machine tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Job shop experience preferred
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs will be necessary
- Multitasking whenever possible will be required
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to follow direction while also being able to work with little supervision
