Qualifications of Blasters:

• 1-2 years of experience in construction blasting required
• Experience with these types of projects: Natural gas / oil pipelines, Utility blasting [sewer, water, manholes, etc.], Quarry or mine blasting, Explosive bridge felling, Building demolition/implosion, Military blasting
• Have or attain a CDL license along with a Hazardous Materials endorsement
• Experience developing blast plans preferred
• Safety first mind set

Responsibilities of Blasters:

• Leads drilling and blasting crews on various projects
• Will be the foreman of the drilling and blasting crew on quarry, pipeline, construction or demolition blasting projects across America
• Following the site specific blast plan, creation of drill patterns, setting up seismographs, product selection [bulk or packaged explosives], coordinating blasts with the contractor, attending safety meetings, accurately filling out trip manifests and blast reports, among many other duties
• Attending safety meetings, accurately filling out trip manifests and blast reports
• Maintains a safe approach using state and job specific safety requirements.
• Perform quality inspections prior to using the drills and equipment
