Responsibilities of Heavy Equipment Technician:
- General Shop work working on construction equipment and all part of the machines
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance on diesel and heavy equipment
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle
- Our diesel technicians will be responsible for all maintenance of our fleet
- As a diesel mechanic you will work in a clean safe environment
Qualifications of Heavy Equipment Technician:
- Previous experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing Heavy Equipment
- Experience with Excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, cranes, boom trucks
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Engine repair, hydraulic, electrical, wheels/tracks, steering, etc.
- Ability to Operate Equipment for Testing Purposes preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- 3 years of heavy equipment repair experience required
