Overview:
Paramount Plastics is looking for a skilled CAM Programmer to join our dynamic team in Elkhart. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure precision and timeliness in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in CAM Programmer and the ability to program G and M codes, while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations using SolidWorks and Master Cam.
- Understand and utilize G and M codes for effective program debugging and optimization.
- Assist in the development of machine parts, tools, tooling, and fixtures.
- Monitor machines during trial runs and conduct computer simulations to verify program functionality and ensure product specifications are met.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, R&D Manager, and Production Manager to successfully execute projects.
- Suggest improvements for software and processes as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in CAM software applications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drawing.
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D scanning technology.
- Knowledge of 3D printing techniques.
- Formal education in drafting or a related field.
