Overview:
We are currently seeking to add Security Field Technicians to join our growing team. We are actively recruiting for both Journeyman (WA06) and Apprentice roles, with on-the-job training opportunities. As a Security Field Technician at Paramount Security Systems, Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers by installing and servicing our commercial client’s security systems, such as cameras, access control, burglar alarm, etc.
Requirements:
· Proficient in the setup and installation of CCTV systems, Cat 5e/6 cabling, and networking infrastructure.
· Familiar with IP addressing, ping and VMS
· Skilled in understanding site maps and schematics.
· Capable of performing diagnostic assessment and troubleshooting cameras and switches
· Ability to work safely on ladders when required.
· Possesses essential telecommunication tools, personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Demonstrates expertise in cabling standards and techniques.
· Experience/willingness to learn conduit installation
· Willingness to travel overnight periodically for job assignments as needed; <25%.
Additional Qualifications:
- Previous knowledge of security systems is preferred
- WA 06 Electrical License preferred; OR, willingness to obtain electrical license
- Ability to learn security systems product knowledge and necessary field techniques and skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals.
- Strong reasoning skills for logical troubleshooting techniques based on product performance.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Technology proficient in communication via email, texting, and work order systems.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, kneel, etc., as required at various work locations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- The ability to safely climb ladders, when necessary, while carrying 10 pounds
Work Environment:
The Security Field Technician role involves working in diverse environments such as construction sites, warehouses, and outdoor customer locations. Personal protective equipment must be used consistently to ensure safety.
Travel Requirements:
Frequent day travel is expected to job sites, vendor locations, and offices as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
