Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with experience in the utilities sector, proficiency in SQL queries, and the ability to collaborate on .NET-based application development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mass market utility operations, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
o Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand complex utility processes and identify pain points.
2. Solution Development:
o Work closely with developers to design customized .NET solutions that meet business needs.
o Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.
3. SQL Expertise:
o Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to analyze data and support decision-making.
o Collaborate with the data team to ensure seamless integration between applications and databases.
4. Utilities Sector Expertise:
o Leverage knowledge of mass market utility operations, including billing, metering, and customer service.
o Stay up-to-date with regulatory and industry changes to anticipate business impacts.
5. Project Management & Communication:
o Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
o Contribute to project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
o Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and risks.
6. Quality Assurance & Documentation:
o Support testing phases by developing test cases, reviewing test results, and ensuring defects are resolved.
o Maintain detailed documentation for business requirements, processes, and system changes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
5 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in the utilities sector.
Proven experience with SQL query development and optimization.
Familiarity with .NET frameworks and collaborative application development.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of utility processes such as billing, metering, and customer engagement.
Advanced SQL skills, including writing queries and analyzing large datasets.
Familiarity with .NET application design principles and development workflows.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
