What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Parasol Group Inc.?
Project Manager:
Are you equal parts hard hat and handshake? Toolbelt and timeline? Blueprint and budget? Parasol Group is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team of professionals tackling everything from real estate development to high-end general contracting. We need someone who’s got both hands-on know-how and the polish to work with clients, providers, and field teams.
This isn’t your average PM gig — we’re looking for someone who’s walked the jobsite, knows the trades, and can still lead a meeting without drywall dust on their slacks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage and coordinate commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Serve as the key liaison between clients, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and timelines
- Oversee scopes of work related to electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, framing, finish work, and more
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders
- Ensure all permitting, inspections, and compliance requirements are met
- Work closely with foremen and trade specialists to solve on-site challenges
- Communicate project updates to clients in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and coordinating logistics
- Keep things moving, keep people informed, and keep standards sky-high
What You Bring to the Table:
- 3–5 years of hands-on construction or general contracting experience (PM experience a must)
- Solid working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and other core trades
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (you're equally comfortable with clients and contractors)
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and keep deadlines on track
- Proficiency in project management tools, schedules, and budgeting
- Eye for detail, drive for quality, and a “let’s get it done” mentality
- A calm head under pressure and a collaborative attitude
Bonus Points If You:
- Have worked in real estate development or design-build environments
- Can read architectural plans like a bedtime story
- Are handy enough to jump in if needed (but smart enough to delegate)
