What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Mechanic –Full Time Position position at Paratransit Inc?
Paratransit, Inc. is currently seeking applications for full-time Bus Mechanics to perform maintenance and repair work on buses, vehicles, and other equipment as assigned. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 12 : 30 PM to 9 : 00 PM, with occasional shifts starting as early as 5 : 00 AM for training or as needed. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
- Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement upon hire
- ASE Certification is preferred but not required
- Tools and equipment of the mechanic trade provided
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Ability to learn the operation and repair characteristics of buses, trucks, vans, automobiles, and other equipment
- Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel engines is a plus
- Familiarity with mechanic tools, materials, and practices
- Must pass a drug test (including marijuana)
