JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Laundry Services
Department: Housekeeping/ Laundry Services
Reports to: Laundry Supervisor, Director of Housekeeping and Laundry
Status: Non- Exempt
Position Summary: The Laundry Services team ensures that resident clothing is clean, in good repair and maintains an adequate supply of clean linens to maintain a safe and secure community for the residents. They represent Parc Provence to residents, guests, families and the community, contributing to our mission of enhancing residents' qualilty of life. Staying organized and on task is key! Essential Functions:
1. Pick up soiled laundry from laundry chute and transport carts to laundry room.
2. Return clean laundry to correct resident room following infection control policies.
3. Keep residents’ drawers and closets neat and orderly.
4. Label residents’ clothing appropriately.
5. Small mending may include sewing a button when needed.
6. Keep linen closets neat and orderly.
7. Assist in the proper care and use of all laundry equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Ability to read and write.
- Senior Living Experience: Prefer six months’ experience in hospital or nursing home.
- Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with staff, residents and families and possess clear verbal and written communication skills.
