Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy, project management, and team leadership. They will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Development:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to determine project viability. Monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Implement time management strategies to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare reports on project status as needed, highlighting any potential risks or delays.

2. Execution & Management:

  • Lead the project team in executing solar installation projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless project progression.
  • Monitor project progress, address risks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating practices.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes, ensuring installations meet design and safety requirements.

4. Budget & Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, control costs, and track financial performance
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders

5. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.

6. Team Leadership:

  • Manage and motivate project team, ensuring collaboration and alignment on goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, Sunbase, Trello, or similar).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Work Environment:
