Job description
The Parent Child Development Center Wai`anae is seeking to hire early intervention Special Instructors/Developmental Specialists with a degree in early childhood and special education, to join our multidisciplinary team providing face-to-face services to developmentally delayed infants and toddlers in the home/community setting.
The Special Instructors/Developmental Specialists will support family as a Primary Service Provider by coaching families to better support their children in all areas of development. Duties include, but not limited to
- conducting evaluations
- writing reports
- assisting with the development of Individual Family Support Plans
- collaborating and supporting other team members
- providing consultation to other early interventionists
- conducting home visits; attending family support meetings
- documenting services
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood/Child Development or Elementary with a focus on Early Childhood or Special Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree AND Licensed by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board with two years experience in Early Childhood or, has a 5th Year Teaching Certification with a focus on Early Childhood or Special Education.
(Experience with Infants, Toddlers, Special Education Highly Preferred)
Other requirements include, but not limited to:
- Daily access to reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Driver's license
- Provide in-person services and attend virtual sessions/meetings.
**The Parent Child Development Center Wai`anae is contracted by the State of Hawaii Department of Health/Early Intervention Section to provide services to the Wai`anae Community".
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
