MISSION
The mission of the Special Needs Services(SNS) Program Coordinator is to for organizing programs and activities for our organization. The SNS Program Coordinator will oversee the agency’s special needs focused programs, which include, but are not limited to Early Start, Family Empowerment Center, and the Community Navigator Program. They will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals. They will also be in charge of developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals. The SNS Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish, promote, and maintain professional connections with staff and supporting agencies (CVRC, IHSS, SSDI/SSI, etc.) to help support the needs of the families served.
- Coordinate and collaborate with community stakeholders.
- Provide knowledge and training to staff regarding special needs topics, and other pertinent information.
- Provide one on one reflective supervision, support, and other interventions to address staffing needs
- Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Creating and managing long-term goals.
- Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
- Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
- Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including service delivery, safety, quality, and team member performance.
- Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
- Analyzing program risks.
- Working on strategy with the marketing team.
- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to organizational needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Social Work or related field.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities and related conditions faced by clients.
- Preferred experience of being a parent, grandparent, or sibling who assisted the parents in raising a child with special needs.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Proven experience in program management.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of project management.
- Knowledge of community resources.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
