Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food prep, including chopping, portioning, and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
- Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols at all times
- Follow portion control and waste reduction procedures to maintain efficiency
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain stock levels and communicate when supplies need replenishing
- Support dishwashing and overall kitchen cleanliness as needed
Qualifications:
✅ Prior experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not required—we will train the right person!
✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
✅ Strong teamwork and communication skills
✅ Passion for food, cooking, and attention to detail
✅ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is a plus!)
✅ Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
