About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit team at Paris Regional Medical Center.
As a critical care specialist, you will work closely with patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments but are not in critical condition necessitating intensive care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Assessment: Continuously assess and monitor patients with complex medical conditions, such as cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical cases.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, self-care techniques, and post-discharge care to promote long-term health and prevent readmissions.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- a current state RN license
- a degree from an accredited nursing school
- basic life support certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire
- at least one year of experience in a similar role
