What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strength And Conditioning Coach position at Parish Episcopal School?
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for working with the head coaches in developing and implementing sport specific training and conditioning programs for both in-season and out-of-season student-athletes. This position will require the instruction of academic courses throughout the day in Middle and Upper School. The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for maintaining the facility, and for establishing policies, plans, and procedures for safety.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physical Education.
• Weight training certification and a minimum of three years strength training preferred.
• National Strength Coaches Association's CSCS certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association's SCCC certification (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification) or equivalency required.
