We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant who will be responsible for managing our organization's fixed assets, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations. This role involves maintaining asset records, conducting audits, coordinating asset disposals, and assisting in financial reporting related to fixed assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update fixed asset records, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Work closely with accounting and finance teams to prepare fixed asset reports for financial statements and tax filings.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for capital expenditures.
- Coordinate with different departments to track asset movements and ensure proper documentation.
- Support internal and external auditors by providing necessary asset-related documentation.
- Recommend process improvements for better asset management and reporting.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- 2 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and fixed asset management practices.
