What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Supervisor (Pop-up Location) position at Park-9 Dog Bar?
PARK-9 Dog Bar is opening its seasonal pop-up location in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston for the second year (pending City approval). Reporting to the Assistant Venue Manager and COO, the Park-9 Floor Supervisor will have previous experience in employee management, hospitality, and customer service experience, including opening and closing procedures, bar service, handling guest escalations and optimization of daily operations. Knowledge of the dog care industry is not necessary, but this individual will be expected to quickly learn the ins and outs of all Park-9 services. We require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an unparalleled experience for our clientele, and, of course, a love of dogs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform opening and closing of the Fenway Location included overseeing cleaning, end of day cash out, and locking up gates/containers.
- Serve as primary contact for onsite issues including dog incidents, guest incidents and staff needs.
- Oversee entry into site, verifying IDs as well as deescalating situations when needed.
- Perform bar operation as needed including greet customers and introduce them to menu options and items, prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including garnishing.
- Must be comfortable around dogs and large group play
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Prevent overserving according to the law.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be 21 years of age.
- 1-2 years bartending and industry experience required.
- 1-2 years venue/site management
- Outstanding customer service skills required.
- High school degree preferred.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer and simple cocktails
- Ability to handle money and conduct transactions swiftly and accurately.
- Willingness to be a team player.
Physical Abilities
· Ability to stand for a long time (up to 8 hours)
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
