What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant position at Park Animal Hospital?
We are a small animal and exotic practice that has an opening in our kennel department. Our kennel attendants are responsible for all the care of all our boarding patients, the cleanliness of our clinic and client communication with pet parents.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
∙ Provide outstanding customer service
∙ Feed, water and walk all boarding pets
∙ Clean cages and runs in boarding area as needed
∙ Bathe pets
∙ Communicate with the clients on status of boarding pets
∙ Wash, dry and put away dishes
∙ Sweep and mop all areas of the hospital
∙ Stock items in the kennel
∙ Check and clean bathrooms throughout the day
∙ Empty the garbage and recycle throughout the day
∙ Launder all towels and bedding from kennel and treatment
∙ Assist with patient handling and care in the treatment area
∙ Perform daily task duties as scheduled
∙ Report medical issues of boarding patients to the doctor
This is an entry level - full time - position and great for someone wanting to start a career in the veterinary field or someone who just enjoys being around animals and wants to provide great care for them.
