What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Banking Analyst position at Park Avenue Capital?
Park Avenue Capital (PAC) is a strategic advisory and capital raising firm looking to hire Analyst Interns residing in the Miami area and that can work, a few days a week, on-site at our Miami offices.
The role may evolve into full-time positions with Park Avenue Capital following the Analyst Internship and contingent upon PAC business needs.
Park Avenue Capital has a presence in Miami, NYC, London and Rome.
PAC focuses on:
•Sell-side and buy-side advisory services
•Cross-border public company mergers
•Capital raising
•Public listings
•Domestic and global joint-ventures
•Partnerships development
•Valuations
•Other strategic transaction services to companies across their lifecycle - from early-stage to growth stage to recapitalizations or shareholders' exits
Each PAC team member has more than 20 years of deep mergers and acquisitions and capital raising experiences, including lead advisory roles on multiple sell-side transactions and capital raises
Responsibilities
Initial responsibilities shall be to support senior investment bankers in source new client mandates and execute on existing mandates as follows:
Deal Sourcing
- Reaching out to prospective clients, with direction from senior investment bankers
- Drafting PAC-related presentations
- Booking senior PAC team members on industry-specific conferences for speaking roles on panels
- Developing an internal database of corporate acquirers and investors
Deal Execution
- Drafting sell-side or investor presentations as required
- Financial modeling
- In the case of our Sell-side Mandates, establishing initial contact with potential acquirers of our corporate clients
- In the case of Capital Raise Mandates, establishing initial contact with potential investors
Qualifications
- Strong interest in a career in Investment Banking
- Knowledge of corporate finance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Excel and financial modeling
- Resiliency with a 'never give up" attitude
- Strong sales skills
- Doesn't mind "the grind" of occasionally certain repetitive tasks
