RN Unit Manager

Job Summary:
The unit manager plays a critical role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong leader with extensive clinical knowledge and the ability to manage both staff and patient needs while fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Duties:

• Patient Care Management for residents on assigned unit
• Oversee and coordinate nursing care for residents on specific unit
• Supervise and support nurse & CNAs
• Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care plans and concerns.
• Address complaints and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Ensure individualized care plans are developed and followed for residents on your unit
• Monitor residents’ conditions on assigned unit and address any health concerns.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and clinical team

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical skills with comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• Preferred experience in geriatrics or acute care settings.

Schedule : Monday-Friday (8am-4pm) , Rotating weekend on call

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
