What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Language Learner Para-Educator position at Park County School District #1?
Provide instructional assistance/support with ELL students, computer teaching, and assisting students in the use of computer programs, one on one instruction, group instruction and assistance with progress monitoring.
Responsibilities include following daily plans from supervising teacher(s) and/or therapist(s), making necessary preparations for student care, assisting student(s) as directed, and performing other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent required; two (2) years of college (48 hours) or Associate’s Degree (or higher) highly preferred
Ability to work with students at the elementary level
Team oriented; possession of human relations skills; ability to work cooperatively with parents and staff
Ability to work in dynamic, diverse settings; willingness to adapt to specific or new working situations
Salary: District Support Services Wage Schedule (2024-25 Base = $16.35/hour, a para holding B.A. in education, base = $17.35 per hour)
Employment Term: Up to 30 hours per week (175 student days per full year), this is a non-benefit eligible position
