What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Arts Teacher position at Park County School District #1?
Provide instruction in industrial arts for high school students including but not limited to woodworking, computer-aided design (CAD), welding, and/or building trades
Possible coaching and/or activity sponsorship opportunities available
Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. Degree
Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements, i.e. Trade and Technical, as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board
Successful teaching experience in Vocational Education, Computer-aided Design (CAD), Welding, Woodworking and Building Trades at the secondary level highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to motivate, work effectively with, and relate to high school students of different age/ability levels and with varying needs
Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and settings
Knowledge/Experience in Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
Ability to inspire high ethical and moral standards for all individuals with which associated by modeling the expected standards
Demonstrated understanding of safety and safety practices and the care and maintenance of equipment as related to all aspects of shop maintenance/operations
Experience and/or training in performance standards/performance-based education preferred
Salary: District Salary Schedule (2024-2025 Base = $53,000.00)
Employment Term: Full-time – 185 day contract
Beginning Date: 2025-2026 reporting date for new staff – August 14, 2025 (with training before this date)
Closing Date: February 28, 2025 or until filled
