As the Director of Pharmacy at Park Duvalle, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising pharmacy activities in accordance with HRSA policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal laws. You will have the opportunity to recommend innovations in pharmacy practice and collaborate with administration to implement mutually agreed-upon programs with the support of a dedicated team.
This is a full-time position scheduled for at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and federal/state regulations.
- Lead, manage, and support pharmacy staff, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Monitor and improve the quality of pharmacy services, ensuring optimal medication therapy management, and patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance pharmacy practice and services.
- Assist in budget management and resource allocation to meet financial goals while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to plan and evaluate pharmacy services and programs.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in pharmacy management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal guidelines, including drug safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensure: Valid Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to establish trust and credibility with patients, staff, and leadership. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Qualifications:
o Demonstrated ability to teach and engage with staff and colleagues.
o Involvement in professional organizations and relevant publications is a plus.
Requirements:
- TB Test: Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months (PPD, QFT, or CXR).
- Immunization Records: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu (seasonal), and COVID-19 vaccination.
- Additional health screenings as required by the facility.
