What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Shop Project Manager position at Park & Elm?
I. Broad Function:
In this role, achieving customer satisfaction by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project management within the Miller South Machine facility will lead to success. This includes quoting, planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. Fostering new customer relationships to support sustainable order intake will be a crucial part of the position.
II. Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Associates of Applied Science or equivalent experience.
- Several years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with a focus on project management.
- High competence in building and maintaining internal and external customer relationships.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and CAD software i.e.; Global, SAP, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to take ownership of a project conception to deliverable.
- High level organizational & communications skills with a positive attitude.
III. Principle Responsibilities:
- Foster new and maintain customer value relationships to promote order intake.
- Generate quotes, along with project plans that outline scope, deliverables, required resources, and budget.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Generate machining drawings when required and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including prints, schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Ensure all project records are accurate and up to date.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project performance.
- Work over as required to support the deliverable commitment.
- Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements
- Maintain 5S office and work area.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
