The Field Technician will be responsible for safely setting, maintaining, repairing, and operating multiple types of natural gas compressors in their designated area. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or with others.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintenance and Repair: Learn to read gas meters and instrumentation, record operational data, and report any changes as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- System Knowledge: Learn the function and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors.
- Start-up Procedures: Learn to properly set units and perform start-up procedures on location.
- Parts Management: Maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units.
- Tool Utilization: Use hand tools to clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, replace filters, gaskets, and other items as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Properly use electronic devices for troubleshooting, testing, or commissioning equipment.
- Scheduled and Unscheduled Repairs: Assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Call-out Rotation: Respond to unscheduled service calls as part of the call-out rotation responsibilities.
- Documentation: Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
- Licensing: Maintain a current and valid driver's license.
