Overview
We are a private practice in the NKY area seeking an associate DVM. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventive care, and ensuring the well-being of pets and other animals. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners, staff, and other veterinary professionals to deliver high-quality medical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
- Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and diseases in pets.
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including animal catheterization.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
- Provide emergency care and critical care for animals in need.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and animal physiology.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
- Strong skills in animal handling.
- Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
