Join Our Team as a Crossing Guard Supervisor!
Park Inc is seeking a safety-conscious Crossing Guard Supervisor in Newville, PA. This part-time position involves working approximately 3 hours per day on all days school is in session (August through June).
Position Overview
As a Crossing Guard Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe movement of children to and from school across public roadways and intersections. You will also oversee the training, scheduling, and performance of crossing guards, contributing to a safe and efficient operation.
Essential Functions
- Foster and maintain a strong working relationship with the designated site point of contact.
- Train employees in job site operations, focusing on safety and customer service.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
- Oversee staff performance, including hiring, retention, training, coaching, and counseling.
- Maintain the integrity and security of company equipment.
- Conduct routine audits and “mystery shop” assessments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Forecast staffing needs and schedule shifts accordingly.
- Communicate schedules effectively and fill gaps to ensure complete shift coverage.
- Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including timekeeping records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Address onsite communications with customers, clients, and management as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to established policies and procedures for both the client and the company.

Qualifications
- Experience managing a workforce.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with client focus, and an ability to work with all staff levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in dealing with personnel issues including hiring, firing, training and disciplinary action.
- Must be detailed oriented and able to make sound decisions within assigned deadlines.
- Ability to work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Willingness to work all shifts, all days, as needed.
