Summary/Objective
This position will play a critical role in our infrastructure team, supporting both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. You will bring your expertise to develop the best practices, troubleshoot challenges, and drive improvements in cloud-first and Windows Server infrastructure operations. Your responsibilities include managing Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and server hardware. This role also includes managing data center operations and transitioning infrastructure to cloud environments.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates Azure resources' implementation, configuration, and maintenance to ensure application development engineers promptly have the proper infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Coordinates migrating our on-premises data center to the Microsoft Azure Platform.
- Aids in designing and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling for routine operation tasks for the deployed applications.
- Ensures the Azure environment's reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Azures virtual desktop / Windows 365 experience.
- Manages cloud and on-premises backups and disaster recovery.
- Investigate and monitor current-state cloud usage, solutions in use, risks, gaps, and limitations, and recommend solutions, optimizations, and remediation.
- Conducts research and proof of concept activities, recommending new technologies, techniques, and tools to add value by increasing efficiency while improving service quality.
- Works with solution architects and partners to confirm that developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls, and adhere to cloud computing best practices.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements, automation, and adopting new technologies to enhance the Azure cloud environment.
- Stays current with the latest Azure features, tools, and best practices and shares this knowledge with the team.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft technologies.
- Familiar with DevOps / Experience supporting application deployment in Azure.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Extensive experience with security frameworks, protocols and technologies.
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies (e.g., encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
- Proven experience with performance optimization, scalability, and high-availability solutions.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations relevant to PCI-DSS or GDPR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement complex solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successful project execution.
