Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist healthcare professionals in providing rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Your support will be crucial in helping patients regain their strength and mobility, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists and occupational therapists during treatment sessions by preparing equipment and materials.
- Help patients with exercises and rehabilitation activities, ensuring they perform movements correctly and safely.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, including sanitizing equipment after use.
- Document patient interactions and progress in accordance with facility policies.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans and improvements in service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health sciences or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation or therapy, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Physical stamina to assist patients during therapy sessions and perform lifting as needed.
- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and equipment is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
