Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist healthcare professionals in providing rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Duties
- Assist physical therapists and occupational therapists during treatment sessions by preparing equipment and materials.
- Help patients with exercises and rehabilitation activities, ensuring they perform movements correctly and safely.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, including sanitizing equipment after use.
- Document patient interactions and progress in accordance with facility policies.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans and improvements in service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health sciences or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation or therapy, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Physical stamina to assist patients during therapy sessions and perform lifting as needed.
- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and equipment is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
