What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Home Loan Lender position at Park National Bank?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate residential loans in targeted areas by actively promoting the Bank’s CRA lending efforts
- Identify the customer’s needs, analyze the loan request, financial data and offer recommendations on mortgage loan products
- Participate and/or lead community related events to create relationships with area Realtors, Builders, Community Action Groups and others who actively conduct business within the targeted communities
- Join and establish relationships with non-profit organizations, Board of Realtors, Home Builders Associations, city and state housing agencies and any other public forums to generate and increase first-time buyer and CRA lending opportunities
- Host local home buyer education events for the public and provide program and product awareness training for bank partners, Realtors, builders, non-profits, etc., geared toward the housing needs of the local communities, especially first-time home buyers
- Minimize risk exposure ensuring Community Home Loan Lenders adhere to all federal, state, and internal compliance regulations, policies, and procedures
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of the mortgage industry, mortgage products, lending practices and regulatory guidelines especially programs and products which are beneficial to the local communities
- Understand and follow the Park National Bank lending policy, procedures and underwriting requirements
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
- Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

SCHEDULE
This position is hourly and full time. A minimum 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Responsibilities extend beyond traditional office hours; seven days a week and evening hours are at times required.
