JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, aids providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.
Work Schedule:
Monday 8am-4:45pm
Tuesday 9:30am-4:45pm
Wednesday 7:30am-5pm
Thursday 7am-3:30pm
Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong clinical and human relations skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.
- Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
- Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
