Patient Care Associate Manager II, Urology

Position Summary:

Has direct authority for daily operations of the unit/department. This includes responsibilities for processes and activities such as hiring, staff development, performance management and evaluations, disciplinary actions, scheduling. These incumbent leads, manages and evaluates aspects of patient care/outcomes, staff resources, productivity, improvement projects and interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care. Will work variable shifts, as needed to complete responsibilities and meet the needs of the patient care area. This position will assist in identification of goals and has shared responsibility with the Manager or Director for process improvements on the unit/department.

Work Schedule:

Fulltime 1.0 FTE. Monday – Friday, Days.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Bachelor of Science/Arts in Nursing required or/ progress towards this degree expected yearly

Minimum of three to four years clinical experience

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Licensed Registered Nurse.

BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Expressed desire/passion to focus on nursing, leadership, and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters

Management/leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
