Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of physical therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation, and freedom from pain. Performs related duties as assigned.
0.8 FTE position rotating through different areas of inpatient care including general med/surg, cardiac, ortho, neuro, oncology, and ICU. Interest or experience in acute care management of vertigo or lymphedema welcomed. Optional rotations also available in one or more of the following specialty areas: outpatient neuro, wound care, and/or outpatient ortho, if interested. Schedule consists of four 8 hr days per week. Every 4th weekend, and one holiday per year. Previous experience in acute care setting strongly preferred.
Work Schedule:
.80 FTE, four 8 hour shifts & every 4th weekend 1 holiday per year
Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree in physical therapy
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recommend experience as a Physical Therapist preferably in a medical setting.
- Recommend membership in related professional organization.
- Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
- Proficient in clinical equipment related to area of expertise.
- Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
