We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and functionality of our community. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will oversee maintenance technician operations, assist in the execution of preventive maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Summary of essential job functions:
• Assist the Director of Maintenance in planning, organizing, and directing maintenance operations.
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly.
• Performs routine carpentry repairs such as kitchen cabinets, window screens or glass, door locks, and plaster or drywall repair.
• Performs plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains, faucets, or floats, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices)
• Direct maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
• Manage and execute tasks within the TELS work order system, ensuring timely completion and communication of any delays.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to maintenance team members.
• Assist with the procurement of supplies.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24-hour emergency response for maintenance issues.
Requirements
• 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in healthcare or hospitality settings.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with boilers, compressors, generators, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Building Automation Systems, and TELS (by Direct Supply).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.
