Shuttle Bus Driver / Parking Guest Ambassador
Job Purpose:
- To transport passengers safely and efficiently to and from designated locations, ensuring adherence to all DOT regulations and company policies. This role focuses on providing reliable and courteous transportation services while maintaining a strong focus on passenger safety and comfort. To efficiently manage and coordinate the parking operations within a designated area, ensuring smooth traffic flow, maximizing parking capacity, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves directing vehicles to available parking spaces, monitoring parking activity, enforcing parking regulations and assisting customers with any parking-related inquiries or issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate shuttle bus in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Transport passengers to and from designated locations, following pre-determined routes and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of trip counts and other required documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist passengers with luggage or other belongings.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate routes and schedules.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and customer service.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Participate in mandatory training programs as required by DOT regulations and company policy.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the appropriate authorities and company personnel.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Direct incoming and outgoing traffic to available parking spaces, utilizing clear hand signals and verbal communication.
- Monitor parking lots to ensure efficient space utilization and prevent congestion.
- Enforce parking regulations, including time limits, and prohibited parking zones.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding parking availability, directions, and regulations.
- Help customers with parking-related issues, such as lost tickets or vehicle lockouts.
- Operate parking equipment, such as gates, ticket dispensers and payment systems.
- Prepare reports on parking activity, including occupancy rates, revenue collected and any incidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the safety and security of the parking area.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
Required Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Experience working with diverse populations and providing excellent customer service.
- Proven ability to maintain a safe driving record and adhere to safety regulations.
- Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Minimum of one year of experience in dispatching, customer service or a related field.
- Experience handling high-volume phone calls and radio communications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent driving skills and a strong understanding of defensive driving techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to navigate efficiently in various traffic conditions.

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
