Job description
PARKPLUS is looking for applicants who possess a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, and able to work within a team. Chosen applicants will work in roles partaking in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, repairing of electrical equipment and devices, support, and training of others. We are currently looking to add to our team in the Miami – Fort Lauderdale area.
Field Automation Technician Responsibilities:
- Install and modify electrical machinery, equipment, and circuitry
- Diagnose cause of electrical or machine malfunctions
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to solve developmental problems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Ensure all electrical components adhere to standards
- Provide support for breakdowns
- Able to read and understand PLC code (Ladder, FBD, STL, SCL)
- Plan, evaluate, organize and implement automation related projects
- Setup of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Servo Drives
- Assist with on-site start-up and troubleshooting, as needed
- Review electrical drawings
- Develop Electrical Bill of Material
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in engineering or other related fields required
- Familiarity with electrical schematics
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail - oriented
- Computer skills required
- PLC skills and experience a plus (Siemens, Beckhoff)
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent work record, including safety, quality and attendance
- Positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle. Job sites are mostly in the Fort Lauderdale – Miami area
- Available for or after-hours overtime work as needed
Job Type:
- Full-time, M - F, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Opportunity for overtime
Salary:
- $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
